The
process to become a Provisional Advisor includes providing your
name to the Nominating Committee through the Straw
Ballot - either by self-nominating or by being nominated by
another. It is also required that each candidate complete the Leadership
Application. Dear Members of the Junior League of Cleveland, Happy New Year! The Nominating Committee is looking for leaders to guide our League into 2004-2005 and beyond. The attached packet includes all the materials you need (Straw Ballot, Leadership Application and JLC organizational structure) to nominate yourself or a fellow League member for a position of leadership within the Junior League of Cleveland. Straw Ballot The Straw Ballot is used to nominate qualified candidates for a position of leadership on the Board of Trustees or Management Council. Do not hesitate to nominate yourself! Please write in the name of any member you feel is qualified for the slated position and return the ballot to the Nominating Committee. All individuals who are nominated for a position will be contacted by the Nominating Committee to confirm their interest. Straw Ballots are due by January 23, 2004. Leadership Application Once nominated, any candidate interested in pursuing an elected position within the JLC must complete a Leadership Application. The elected positions include the Board of Trustee positions, Management Council positions, the Provisional Committee and the Nominating Committee. Please see the JLC Structure and Straw Ballot for specific information on these positions. All candidates who have made application for an elected position will be contacted by the Nominating Committee to schedule an interview. Interviews will be conducted on Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, February 29, 2004. Leadership Applications are due by February 13, 2004. Good luck as you begin the Nominating process.
