CAROLYN K. OAKES AWARD

The Carolyn K. Oakes Award was established in May 1988, and is given, when appropriate, to any active or Sustainer, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and distinguished service to The Junior League of Cleveland, Inc. Any member who has served on the Board of Trustees of The Junior League of Cleveland, Inc. is eligible to be nominated, but a member may not be nominated for her service as president of the Junior League.

The award is named in honor of Carolyn K. Oakes, the first non-president to receive Junior League Honorary status and a member who exemplifies the qualities we wish to recognize.
