Position Statement

The JLC is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Beginning in 2003-2004, The JLC will integrate its strategies to maximize its impact in our community by focusing on one critical issue: Women's Development. This initiative reflects The JLC's vision and allows the organization to achieve its primary purpose of improving the Greater Cleveland community.

The women of our community contribute a great deal to the success of our neighborhoods and cities. By harnessing the synergy amongst all women and showing them just how important they really are to the health of our community, The JLC hopes to proliferate a sense of belonging and leadership in women everywhere we offer support.
