Security
Business Hours:
League House is locked at all times for the security of the staff
and premises. If you use your house key to enter, remember to relock
the door. The exception to this is when there are a large number of
people using the facility for a meeting or event, during regular business
hours. If you have a key, it is courteous to the staff to use it instead
of ringing the doorbell.
Evening Hours:
League House is opened by paid security (when meetings are scheduled
and security requested) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday,
at 6:30 p.m. and closed at 10:00 p.m. Security is provided by a
professional security service. Security will make rounds, both exterior
and interior. Feel free to introduce yourself. Security is also
available to escort anyone who feels the need to her car. If you
do not have a key to the house, do not plan your meetings for earlier
than 6:30 p.m.
If there is no evidence of security on a scheduled night, please
notify the Administrative Director in the office immediately the
next business day.
The
Security Alarm System
The League House security system includes motion detectors and an
alarm. If the alarm goes off when you are in League House, Gilmore
Security will call. If you don’t answer the telephone, they
will send the police and charge the League. Emergency numbers are
posted on each telephone. If you need to receive a telephone call
at League House after hours, use extension 222 and this will ring
the phone in the first floor main foyer. Questions regarding security
may be directed to the Administrative Vice President or the League
office staff.
Reporting
Unusual Incidents
Treat League House as your own. Please report any kind of “unusual
incident” which may take place while you are at League House.
These may include coffee spills, broken lamps, strange people who
do not appear to belong there, setting off the alarm, etc. This
system will allow us to keep the house maintained in peak condition.
Forms may be found on the second floor in the mailroom.
