Jackie Sumer is a boomerang Clevelander who grew up in the eastern Cleveland suburbs, moved away for a few years, and returned to be close to family & a career in public accounting. She is in the HR field working nationally for the same public accounting firm, lives on the West side and strives to make a difference in the Cleveland community through volunteerism and connecting with others in various organizations.
Hobbies = Indians baseball & Cavs basketball fan (2016 CHAMPIONS!), fitness activities (like hiking, sailing, kayaking and trying to run), as well as traveling to her grandfather’s country of Slovenia to visit with family every few years.
To me, the JLC means being surrounded by women who want to make a difference through leadership for a better community like our signature event Girl League or raising money for our scholarship fund to help other women locally…and friendships with women outside of your normal day to day work environment, which enhance your ability to be more diverse minded and inclusive.
